1. Police fine driver for extreme speeding offence

   Officers from Townsville Highway Patrol Group fined a 56-year-old Emerald man after detecting him travelling at 155km/h in a signed 100km/h speed zone at Basalt on Friday 24 July. Police observed a silver Toyota Landcruiser whilst patrolling on Gregory Development Road at around 10.50am.

2. Traffic crash, Townsville

   Police are appealing for information from the public as part of investigations into a traffic crash at Shaw this morning, 17 August. About 8.50am a Suzuki motorbike and cyclist collided at the intersection of Shaw Road and the Bruce Highway, and both riders were injured.
